Home Sweet Home

Well... I am home from Germany and Man does it feel great to sleep in my own bed.  Our flight took off Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from Frankfurt and we hit the ground in Chicago around 2pm. Day light the whole way home. I've been home for 3 nights and I think I'm back on American time. I was feeling a little off the last two days, but think I can blame the time change and missing 2 days of meds.  This morning I am feeling good and plan on attacking the second suitcase. What's worse than packing?....UNPACKING! UGH. I've been seeing some updates on Facebook from some of my friends still at Herzog's klinik...things are sounding good and some are heading back home as well. I sure do miss seeing their faces everyday. However, the last 2 days I was able to see the fam. It was great to see my sis again and I definitely missed her the nights I couldn't sleep because of someone's snoring ;) Thursday, I sat with my mom and told her all about the amazing people we had met and the fun we had venturing out on the trains. She loved hearing about our 3 stooges acts...me, my sis, and dad...can't take us anywhere. The best part about being back home...my little guy, Brayden. I missed him so much and couldn't wait to squeeze him tight.  He kept saying he wanted to sleep in "Emmy's bed" ...so a sleepover is long over due.
Yesterday, my brother and his girlfriend picked me up and we headed back over to my mom's to catch up and grill some sausages...as if I didn't have enough in Germany ;) (just kidding, they were delicious) So all and all, I'm feeling pretty good. Later today I'll be heading over to the BFF's house to hang with some friends and catch up. Three weeks away from her seems like a lifetime! See you all soon.

I can't remember if I put it in my last blog, but I will be heading back to Germany December 1 - 14th to continue treatments. I'll be getting the local hyperthermia, magnetic field, and 2 of the whole body hyperthermias, along with the infusions and ozone again. Maybe Dr. Herzog will have some different medicines as well.  I'll be taking my supplements and mistle toe shots til then. Before we left, my dad and I were able to book a one bedroom apartment for our stay in December. It is only 50.oo Euros a day and a 45 euro cleaning charge at the end.  It has a living room with a fold out cot, kitchen, big bathroom with antique tub, and bedroom. Big thank you to our Aussie friends for passing along the info on this gem. It's actually a cheaper rate than staying at the klinik or the other hotels we were at.  Any way we can pinch pennies will help save money for the treatments. Let's just hope Germany's winters are nothing like Chicago's!
